Lou Mac (Autographed) - Slow Down / Baby

Chicago's Blue Lake label was the short-lived home to many great Chicago recording acts, including Red Saunders (Sun Ra), Joe Williams, Sunnyland Slim, etc...It was founded by Parrot label head Al Benson. Label says Bronzeville Record Mfg Co - Chicago, IL. This is #114 by Lou Mac. This is an early example of when R&B was becoming Rock & Roll. GREAT!!  Many of the Blue Lake masters ended up at Chess Records. Our copy comes with a blank envelope autographed by Lou Mac. This came from a D.J.'s estate who was active in Chicago Radio in the 1950's & 60's. Sidemen are probably Red Holloway, Willie Jones, Quinn Wilson, and Vernel Fournier. Vocal group on the A Side is the Five Chances, and on the B side is The Palms. GREAT!!
